The Regulatory Council of the DOCa Rioja selects his new institutional wines

The Regulatory Council has selected the wines that will use in his institutional acts during the period of a year and that present dressed with labels of the on purpose designed Council for each category. The seven wines selected between the 155 samples presented by the cellars correspond to the different types and categories that at present conform the range of wines of the Denomination of Origin Described Rioja. The final result in each one of the categories of wine selected has been the following:
- White Young Harvest 2013:
Cellar: Cellars Faustino S.L. Of Oyón (Álava).
- White Fermented in Barrel Harvests 2012:
Cellar: Cellars Tobía S.L. Of Cuzcurrita of River Tug (The Rioja).
- Rosado Young Harvest 2013:
Cellar: Cellars and Vineyards Ilusce S.To.T. Of Alfaro (The Rioja).
- Tinto Young Harvest 2013:
Cellar: Cellar San Miguel S. Coop. Of Ausejo (The Rioja).
- Tinto Crianza Harvests 2011:
Cellar: Cellars Palace S.A. of Laguardia (Álava).
- Tinto Reserves Harvest 2010:
Cellar: Cellars Bilbaínas, S.A. of Haro (The Rioja).
- Tinto Big Reservation Harvests 2005:
Cellar: Cellars Rioja Vega S.A. of Viana (Navarra).
To realizar this selection the Council summons a contest between all the cellars of Rioja and the Committee of Tasting subjects to blind tasting the samples presented. The high participation of cellars in the contest puts of self-evident the value that award the cellars to the fact that his wines represent to the Denomination.
