The food company cheeses Larra yesterday celebrated the opening of its new facilities of 1,200 m² in the Roncal Valley, in Burgui Business Park. This business family, which produces 90,000 pounds of cheese and move one million euros, has provided two million euros for this new warehouse located on a plot of 9,000 m². The new facilities, subsidized by 30% by the foral Government, promote energy saving and environmental respect. Without going any further, installed solar panels to heat milk, as they have assured sources of the company, as well as a sewage treatment plant for waste water which transforms based on sawdust in compost with worms use, eliminates the occurrence of sludge and avoids the use of chemicals.

Currently, this company family, under the direction of the brothers Heli and Miguel Aznárez, count with a staff of nine employees and served the 16 herds sheep milk. Of the total of its production, 90,000 pounds of cheese, sold 73.800 in the country, especially in Navarre and autonomous communities such as the Basque autonomous region, Catalonia and Aragon and exported 18% abroad. United States, Great Britain, Andorra, Germany, Holland, Japan, Canada and Lebanon consume this firm cheeses.
