Aimplas investigates new applications with its new automatic line of blow molding of hollow body
April 26, 2011
The technological Institute of plastics, Aimplas, has since last January in its pilot plant with a new automatic line of blow molding of hollow body for bottles and containers blown with a capacity of up to 125 millilitres. Now, with this equipment are obtained monolayer bottles, while the head is prepared to with minor modifications, obtaining structures bilayer and three-layer. The line consists of a blowing unit, a moderate mold and a cutting of the parison through hot blade system.
This line allows to process a wide range of thermoplastic materials and specific formulations, conducting trials in pilot plant (using relatively small amounts of material) which are then scalable industrially. This expansion of equipment allows Aimplas researchers address the development of new services and projects related to applications of packaging for beverages and food, cosmetics or detergents, among others.
