Madrid Metro certifies the quality of the service of all its lines with AENOR

Metro de Madrid has obtained the certification of the AENOR brand of service of public transport of passengers that accredits Madrid Metro offers quality services and complies with the requirements of European standard UNE-EN 13816 by the Spanish Association for standardisation and certification (AENOR). Comfort, service, accessibility and environmental impact are some of the aspects that have been evaluated to obtain such certification.
In this way, Metro de Madrid becomes the first subway network in Spain certifying all its lines (the operated by this entity), in accordance with the norm UNE-EN 13816. This reflects its commitment to continuous improvement. The scope of the certification includes the twelve lines that make up the network of Metro de Madrid, Pius Ópera-Príncipe branch and Metro light 1.
Certificate N AENOR brand of public passenger transport service is based on European standard UNE-EN 13816 public passenger transportation. Its main objective is to bring quality systems to public transport, with special emphasis on the needs and expectations of users.
The Madrid Metro has obtained the certification of AENOR that performs some very concrete and specific quality commitments in various fields which directly affect the traveller, including comfort (seating, space, performance of the driver, cleaning or degree of occupation); Security (prevention of accidents); time (schedules, frequency, reliability or regularity); attention to the traveler (relationship with the customer, satisfaction or claims); accessibility (elevators) or environmental impact (emissions, noise or consumption).
