Francisco Belil, re-elected President of Feique
This will be the third consecutive term of Francisco Belil, agreed for the first time to the Presidency in October 2000. Also, renewed their posts members of the senior management of the Federation, so the Vice-Chairs will be assumed by José Luis Cabestany (Catalan Federation of the chemical industry), Rafael Juste (Farmaindustria) and Francisco Díaz Soares (Cepsa). Félix del Barrio (AFGAD) will also continue as Treasurer.
Francisco Belil, born in Barcelona, studied in higher engineering in the Polytechnic University of Barcelona, expanding them, among others, at the University of Pittsburgh, PA (USA.)(UU.) and INSEAD, in Fontainebleau (France). In July 1972 he joined the Central Engineering Department of Bayer, playing various roles in German factories in Leverkusen, Dormagen and Uerdingen. In 1978 he was assigned to Mobay, who at the time was the representation of Bayer in the United States.UU., where he worked in the central of Pittsburgh and the factory of New Martinsville. Later, in 1981, he was appointed director of the Bayer Group in Mexico until July 1987. In that year he returned to Germany where he played various positions of responsibility, between Dormagen and Leverkusen, two years.
In 1989 he was appointed director of the factory of Bayer Hispania, in Tarragona, as well as technical coordinator of the group in Spain. On April 1, 1996 he was appointed Managing Director of Bayer Hispania, head of the group in Spain and from 1 July 1997 of the group in the Iberia region (Spain and Portugal). In March 2003 he took over as Manager of Bayer polymers. At the same time is a member of several boards of Directors of Spanish and Portuguese companies and works with various national and international organizations, which include the international chemical industry Council (ICCA), the European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic)Ceoe, Foment del Treball, APD, CIS, Esade, Expoquimia, FCR, IQS and UOC.
