Regina Revilla renews his presidency in Asebio

After the votes, Regina Revilla has been reelected like president of Asebio. Beside Regina Revilla, shared his candidature like vice-presidents José María Fernández Sousa-Lighthouse, president of Zeltia and Antonio Vallespir, adviser delegated of Abengoa Biopower, those who also they have resulted elected. Besides, like novelty, this year has included in the candidature a third vicepresidencia busy by a SME, represented by Antonio Parente, president of GP Pharm.
The incorporation of a new vicepresidencia answers to the need to have, at least, a SME in this organ of representation and to decentralise the territorial origin of the presidency and the vicepresidencias. Besides, the General Assembly of Asebio has renewed seven vocalías of his Managerial Board (one less than which there was since it has expanded the Managerial Board with a new vicepresidencia). The salient members have been Am-gene, Biópolis, Tigenix, Genetrix, Genzyme, Merck, Vivia Biotech and Group Farmasierra, and the partners that will happen to occupy new vocalías in the Board are Ferrer, Amgen, Genetrix, Biópolis, 3P Biopharmaceuticals, Vivia Biotech and Merck.

Regina Revilla, after his election like president during two years more, appreciated his support to all the present partners in the Assembly. “That it have not presented an alternative candidature is a vote of confidence and a challenge for us”, explained. Besides, it appreciated the intense interaction of the partners with the team of Asebio and the important paper that has played the Managerial Board during these years. “We ask to the vocal a commitment of work and dedication and have fulfilled it”.
Between some of the main challenges achieved by Regina Revilla in the last two years are the initiatives in personalised medicine and innovative public purchase in some autonomous communities; the influence of the sector in the Program Innvierte; the advance of the fiscal credits in the Law of the Emprendedor and his Internationalisation; initiatives of continuous learning in collaboration with other partner; 100 new partners in two years and endow of a greater leadership to the SME in the association.
The program of the candidature chosen collects like salient points for the next two years: follow exerting a decisive influence in subjects regulatorios; intensification of activities associated to the improvement of the financial surroundings and negotiation of the public debt accumulated by the sector; launching of a plan of work in learning; consolidation of sectors incipientes in the base of associated (alimentary, energetic) and opening to new sectors (medical devices, chemist, environingingmental, marine, …); reinforcement of the capacities and infrastructures asociativas; achieve a greater leadership in Europe and the consolidation of the position reached in Latin America and exploration of opportunities in Asia.
The president of Asebio already had occupied the presidency in functions of this Association in 2008. In this moment, was vice-president of the patronal chaired by Cristina Garmendia, who left this charge when it was appointed minister of Science and Innovation. Revilla Left the presidency in functions when it was appointed José María Fernández Sousa-Lighthouse. Later, in July of 2011, was chosen again president of Asebio.
