Controller Fanuc R-30iB, the new standard for smarter productivity
Fanuc develops a new driver compact and equipped with the new touch iPendant, which minimizes power consumption and maximizes productivity. R-30iB has been designed combining a new generation of advanced technology, with the improved integrated iRVision of Fanuc (2D and 3D), maximizing the global functionality, reliability and operability.
R-30iB driver saves space with a design of 500 x 600 x 470 mm, reducing its volume 68% with respect to its predecessor, for installations with lots of robots, controllers can be stacked to take to maximize the floor space. It also offers easier operation, rapid communication and superior performance in graphics with the 4 d function. The unit is 10% lighter and also consumes 10 percent less energy. The touch iPendant has fully customizable functions on the screen and new keys with special functions.
R-30iB incorporates a new module of energy saving, with Automation such as; shutdown and remote start, stop automatic fan cooling, control improved brake and touch iPendant of low consumption. The LVC (Learning Vibration Control) option allows the intelligent optimization of motion and robot trajectories, and DCS (Dual Check Safety) gives us tools to define areas and volumes of security software (TÜV).
Savings in floor space
The integration of the new R-30iB driver is easier in production cells of an only robot since it saves space. In addition, using multi-robot systems, the driver can be stacked (up to a maximum of 3 units), which greatly reduces the space required on the ground.

In the R-30iB have been integrated a variety of new smart features in the new iPendant touch, which enables access faster and improved the basic instructions for programming and editing. Energy-saving
Module Fanuc power saving that is used in the new R-30iB recovers the kinetic energy during braking and returned to the system to be reused for the next acceleration cycle.
- Energy saving module of Fanuc (optional): Returns the energy recovered to the network.
- External power OFF / ON: reduces the total energy consumption by allowing that the controller goes off and lights remotely, during production breaks.
- Auto-stop the cooling fan: reduces energy consumption by turning off the cooling fan during breaks between shifts.
- Brake control function: reduces the consumption of the motors using the automatic braking during defined periods of inactivity.
