Drinking water anywhere, in a simple way

The unusual form of his product elaborador of water was determinant so that, on 12 March past, Stephan Augustin awarded the prestigious iF Design Award - Oscar" of the scene of the international design. However, more important that the elegant appearance of Watercone is what the product can do: produce drinkable and cool water in virtually any part where need urgently.
The way in which the product works is so simple as inventive: it plants the cone in a humid floor. The heat of the sun evaporates the water, which condenses until forming droplets that run as by the inner walls of the cone and to accumulate there. By day can obtain until 1,5 litres of cool water.
The Watercone is totally mobile and is fundamentally useful in regions flooded, where the device can even "swim" while it produces drinkable water.
"The help in the Third World only works if it is simple and effective", explains Stephan Augustin. "For this, no only need good ideas, but also an appropriate material that can bear the particular conditions of the place. This is the reason by which Makrolon was the only alternative".
This plastic of high technology of Bayer Polymers is practically irrompible, light and resistant to the impact, even to temperatures extremely high; moldea of simple way but shows a dimensional stability copy still in hot.
