It adopts the new structure and functioning of the Council of water

The Council of Ministers has adopted the Royal Decree that determines the new composition, organizational structure and functioning of the national water Council, attached to the Ministry of environment and medium Rural and Marine Affairs (Marm). It's a superior body for consultation and participation in this area, part of the Marm, which issues a report on all matters relating to the public water domain the Government or the autonomous communities.
The Royal Decree establishes that the national water Council are represented in the General Administration of the State, the autonomous communities, local, basin agencies, professional and economic state organizations related to the uses of water, business and trade union organizations nationwide and nationwide environmental interests and non-profit entities. In addition, the text includes in the Standing Committee to a range of groups that make up the House of the national water Council and that, until now, they were not represented in this body.
Also, the Royal Decree establishes the subjects undergoing mandatory report of the national water Council: the project of the National Hydrological Plan (NHP); the river basin management plans; the projects of the provisions of general character throughout the national territory, relating to the protection of water and the management of the public water domain, among others.
