Nanopartículas For the rehabilitation of groundwaters contaminated

The starting point will be to develop new technicians of manufacture of these products based in the nanopartículas, to do more profitable his use. The aim of the project is to achieve develop these technicians and happen of scale of laboratory to an industrial scale that allow his application in emplazamientos contaminated.
To determine the applicability in real cases realised studies of mobility of the nanopartículas, studies of impact on the environingingment, developed analytical methods for the determination of the nanopartículas and tools of modelling to simulate the mobility and interaction of the nanopartículas with the contaminantes. These studies will allow scalar and know the risks associated to the use of the nanopartículas for this application and the sustainability of the solution adopted in front of other technologies.
The products developed will apply in cases of pilot study in all Europe (Chequia, Switzerland, Poland, Israel, Hungary and Spain), consistent in aquifers contaminated mainly by organic compounds halogenados, derived of the oil and metals. The results of the project will be presented to representatives of the administrations and big companies, and will allow the application of the products in the market.
Nanorem Is an on a large scale funded project by the EU (program FP7) that initiated his career on 1 February 2013 and is integrated by 27 partners of different countries. The project has a length of 4 years.
The Fundació CTM Centre Tecnològic and the Universitat Politècnica of Catalonia (UPC), participate in the project through the Area of Environingingmental Technology and of the Area of Processes of Conformed. The studies of the Area of Processes of Conformed centre first in the manufacture of nanopartículas of ironinging from processes of molienda and trituración, and second in the stabilisation of the aqueous solutions of nanopartículas. The task of the Area of Environingingmental Technology centres in the study of the reactivity of the nanopartículas and his application in the elimination of contaminantes (organic halogenados and heavy metals) to scale of laboratory.
