The Government of La Rioja has invested more than 1.5 million euros in the supply of water to the Valley of the Ocón

The Government of La Rioja has invested more than 1.5 million euros in a performance consisting of the collection of water in the streams San Andrés and San Julián abstractions, as a priority, and those of the raft of OCON.
These waters will be covered in the new water-treatment, with two automatic valves: one of abstractions that will remain open, and one of the raft of Ocón, that will only open if necessary.
Already potabilizadas waters are stored in a new regulatory deposit, 630 cubic meters of capacity, of which part distribution network with direct connections to local Pipaona, Aldealobos, Los Molinos and El Redal networks, while Corera and Galilee water is provided to their respective regulatory deposits.
The works, which began in October last year 2010, have been completed with the installation of electric line, as well as a center of transformation for the supply of energy.
The Government of La Rioja has been carried out, in addition, corrective actions of environmental impact with the planting of 150 pines and Oaks, with shrubby species.
Ocón supplies will join the future supply of the Cidacos, budgeted at EUR 30 million work of general interest and which will be funded 50% by the Rioja Government and the central Government. The supply of the Cidacos project has been approved by the Government of La Rioja and the Ministry of environment and Rural environment.
The supply of the Ocón Valley, El Redal, Corera and Galilee forms part of the proceedings of the Director Plan of supply to populations of the community autonomous of the Rioja 2006-2015, which has a budget of EUR 123,2 million to undertake projects of great importance for La Rioja, as the systems of the Oja, Iregua-Leza, Cidacos and Najerilla-eyed and Cárdenas.
