on January 24, 2011
In a press release, 'tecnalia' indicated that, for three days, researchers from around the world could discuss, along with those of Tecnalia Research & Innovation and agents of the Basque industrial fabric, about what are the potentials with nanotechnology to solve current and future problems of water pollutionsomething which, according to projections, will be increasingly scarce in the future.
The meeting organised by 'Tecnalia R & I' emphasized the need for further progress in this research, mainly in the definition of tests of ecotoxicity of nanoparticles protocols, and in the detection and characterization of them in the water.
This event has been an opportunity to make first-level experts, from Europe, United States and Japan, as well as representatives of the industry and the Administration, have analyzed both opportunities in nanotechnology in water purificationsuch as risks or threats that their use may pose to ecosystems.
