Asersa organized the 1st International Conference on water reuse and regeneration

The Spanish Association of sustainable water reuse (Asersa) is organizing the 1st International Conference on regeneration and sustainable water reuse, to be held in Madrid on 19 and 20 October of this year, which will analyse the role of regenerated water as a basic element of the integrated management of water resources. The Conference is addressed to Governments and public and private companies, managers of hydraulic systems, water users and all those people who want to learn about and discuss achievements and national and international goals of this essential resource for the sustainable management of water.
The Conference is divided into two parts, one of them will present various emblematic cases of regeneration and reuse of water in Spain, and the other will analyse the legislative and technical, Spanish, and other countries initiativesaimed to incorporate water regenerated as a basic element water management and to enhance the role of associations specialized in the promotion, documentation and development of all aspects of the reuse of water.
Among the objectives of this 1st International Conference are the promotion of the reuse in three administrations in the field of its competences; concessional these new water resources management; compliance with monitoring protocols and regenerated water quality standards including in the 1620 RD / 2007; the realization of advocacy and public information campaigns; the promotion of research; and the water sector initiatives to ensure the health and environmental protection in an efficient and reliable.
