The manufacture of machine tools, robots and automation Italian grows, however the national market stagnates

In 2004 the balance of the machine tool industry, robots and Italian automation is substantially positive. While the business cycle was unfavorable, the Italian industry confirmed its third position in the international ranking of the sector in terms of production and export.
According to the final results of the balance, Alberto Tacchela, President of Ucimu - Sistemi per Produrre, in the presence of Luca di Montezemolo, President of Confindustria (the Confederation of Italian manufacturers), said that the production of machines tool, robots and automation, after two years decreasedIt has achieved a growth of 4,130 million euros, figure that it represents 2.5 per cent increase over the previous year.
Exports have also been positive figures with growth of 12.2 per cent, representing a total of EUR 2,077 million who joined the Italian manufacturers sales. This increase offset the negative results for the domestic market. In fact, a process of the negative trend of deliveries of the Italian manufacturers in the domestic market, which has fallen Cinzia million euros (- 5.7 percent), parallel to a decrease in demand of 2 per cent had perceived.
The export rate has increased since a 46 per cent in 2003 to 50.3 per cent in 2004, so the share of the "Made in Italy" to foreign markets is again higher than the average. The most representative markets for Italy have been Germany with 12.6 per cent of the total exports, Spain with the 9.4 per cent, United States, with the 9 per cent, France (8.9 per cent) and China, with 8.4 per cent of the total.
In particular, registered in Germany, sales totalled 248 million euros (+ 19.1%), Spain 184 million (+ 18%) and France, 174 million euros (2.3 per cent more). The positive results are also references to the United States (+ 7.6%), United Kingdom (+ 4.9 percent), Austria (+ 42.2 per cent) and Poland (+ 14, 3 per cent).
Among the developing countries, increases in more significant for the Italian sales systems which highlights Russia (+ 89.5 per cent), which turned out to be for six months the destination of the exports most representative Italian, Turkey (+ 34.8%) and China (+ 14.8 percent).
