How it initiated the relation between Coscollola and KraussMaffei?
Ricardo Coscollola (RC): In 1962, my father, Enrique Coscollola, signed a first agreement of representation with Eckert& Ziegler (And&Z) – first manufacturer of inyectoras in the world and company that would be purchased in 1964 by KraussMaffei—, to supply in Spain the machines of moldeo by injection manufactured in Germany. Nevertheless, the collaboration between And&Z and Coscollola and Margarit had begun already in 1955 with a licence to manufacture inyectoras in Spain. It was determinante the year 1957, when my father was a year forming in the headquarters of And&Z in Weissenburg (Germany), forged some narrow personal relations and professionals that continued after the integration of And&Z in KraussMaffei, consolidating like this this long collaboration between the two companies.
What would stand out of his relation with the German signature?
RC: Although officially we are a company of independent representation, operativamente speaking, Coscollola works with KraussMaffei as if it was a subsidiary. We give particular importance to our learning and a wide know-how in situ, with which can advise to our customers in Spain of integral form, competent and fast. Only in cases very specific have to resort to the additional support of Munich, something that when it occurs, also does us learn. Fundamentally, the collaboration bases in an esteem and mutual respect, that joins us and drives us to the success, more still in difficult times.

Frank Peters (FP): Coscollola is our partner in Spain. RC: KraussMaffei Agglutinates three technologies —extrusion, PUR and injection—, and constantly develops technical and innovative processes in all the chain of the process. From my punto, besides distinguishes us the high motivation, professionalism and compenetración of our human team and collaborators in Germany, that give us the maximum support.
It is the injection the most important technology of KraussMaffei Spain?
RC: Yes, together with the technician of the extrusion, especially the one of KraussMaffeiBerstorff in Hannover. The injection developed in Spain of early form and has contributed to the economic growth of a lot of sectors. Although the general situation in the last years is complicated, the injection continues being one of the main pillars of the industry of the plastic. The cells of production automated and the integrated cheese cheese processes like the LeatherForm, Coverform, Colorform or the system of compounding-injection IMC, are technologies and systems that offer to the transformers the possibility to compete successfully in the international field.
Which type of equipment and technology of the offer of KraussMaffei sells more in our country?
FP: As in other markets developed, in Spain stands out also the injection with systems of production very automated. The high value of our technology of machines and cells of production with suitable automations, all this of an alone hand, registers a big demand in the market. With these solutions of injection automated the European transformers, whose wages are higher that the ones of Asia or east Europe, win opportunities in some surroundings of global competition.
What thinks that value more his customers after so many years with the same machine?
RC: The technology of the machines has developed enormously. The equipment of KraussMaffei have showed his solidez and validity in the market and have attained to be a mark of recognised prestige. This is something that value our customers, in addition to our support in situ of the technician of processes, engineering and all the related with the post-sale, like the service, the maintenance and the learning. For us also it is important the durable relation with our customers, based in the confidence. Good and efficient machines, efficiency and mutual confidence, all this to a competitive price. This is what convinces to our customers!
Spain, a key “market” for KraussMaffei
Spain is “a challenge with opportunities”.
