Borealis inaugurates a new center of innovation for plastics in Austria

About 350 employees of Borealis come from 30 countries, which will work in research and develop new products, as well as also be experts in marketing and sales.
According to said Gerhard Roiss, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of OMV and President of the Council of supervision of Borealis, "plastics are the material of the future, with 245 million of tonnes production." In Linz, we are going to develop new solutions in plastic for customers around the world. "With the installation of the new programme of plastics technology in the Kepler University in Linz, we are able to cover the growth in demand and to prepare specialists and scientists in the future."
The new building will consist of a series of equipment for processing plastics and tubing, films and injection molding applications, as well as an analysis and laboratory equipment.
