Andaltec, good results for the plastics sector

The Strategic Plan of Andaltec, previously drawn up by the Foundation Management Committee, which includes the new lines of action of the Centre has been presented at the meeting. Among the firms that are to be installed in the new building, located in the Polígono Industrial de Martos, is already announced development of projects of research unit in the sector of the automotive lighting thanks to the agreement signed between the multinational Valeo and the Junta de Andalucía and, as company, a firm in the sector of Advanced Robotics.
It will also continue to work in the second phase of the new headquarters of Andaltec, a part with a more industrial approach, which are housed industrial testing and pilot testing. In addition, José María Navarro has stressed that the Centre has already acquired a considerable amount in knowledge and human capital that enables you to open up to other sectors, because it already has 44 employees and a notable turnover.
The delegate of innovation, science and business of the Junta de Andalucía, Manuel Gabriel Pérez, has indicated that Andaltec has a great weight in the business sector of the plastics, and not only in the automotive industry, but in other areas where is has been introducedsuch as renewable energy, construction and aeronautics, "always with a vocation, regional, national and international levels". Pérez highlighted the great work of those responsible for the Centre and the work they have been developing to come up with new projects and opening for various sectors. "The good work is reflected in the fact that Andaltec has tripled its turnover and quadrupled the level of employment, but also is of high quality employment, almost all workers are graduates", mentioned above. The delegate of innovation, these data are a clear indication that progress is being made in the right direction: promote the generation of knowledge, which is the key in order to compete in the market and, more even, taking into account the current economic situation.
For its part, the Mayor of Martos, Sofía Nieto, has shown his satisfaction for the work developed by Andaltec and pointed out that the agreement signed between Valeo and the Junta de Andalucía is a very important step so that the Center definitely solidifies. "Previously, Andaltec was already a reality and will soon be something more tangible through the new headquarters, which will be very visible to the public, although the work has been developing since long before", he said.
