AEE Alerts of the deslocalización of the wind industry of Spain if it lengthens the moratorium
10 February 2012
The manufacturers warn that the load of work of the industry hardly arrives to the half of his productive capacity. Since the requests of aerogeneradores in factory realise between 1,5 and two years before it begin the installation of a park and to the not having a frame regulatorio further of 31 December 2012, in what it goes of year there is not new requests of turbines for the national market. This adds to that in 2011 the requests were for less than 100 MW and the ones of 2010, for 220 MW, in front of an upper average to 1.500 MW in previous years (see chart).
The manufacturers do upsetting in that the Government can not lose of sight that Spain needs to the wind to advance in his energetic independence of face to the predictable rise of the prices of the fuels fossils and to fulfil the aims vinculantes of the European Directive on renewable, since it is the most mature technology of the special diet. The problem is that, if the wind paralyses now, to few years to be competitive without incentives, when it want to reactivate it will have lost the national talent, as well as one of the few sectors in which our country is indisputable referent to world-wide level.
The wind sector understands the complicated economic situation by which crosses Spain and has showed in repeated occasions his availability to do sacrifices. But it considers that it is not the manager of the deficit of price —his contribution in 2011 was zero—, by what the solution can not happen of any way by the destruction of his industry and of his 30.000 places of work. Of here that it request with urgency a sustainable regulation for the economy that guarantee the survival of a key sector for the Spanish economy.
