Experts of world-wide size in the day ‘Improves of the provision in the materials by means of the use of cryogenic treatments'
1 April 2014
The first European meeting centred exclusively in the field of the cryogenic treatment of materials will celebrate in the installations of the Centre of Metallurgical Investigation
Is not easy to explain why some technologies take in implanting in the practice in spite of the undoubted advantages that offer. It is the case of the cryogenic treatments of materials, processes whose industrial applications began to develop does already more than three decades in North America. However, although since his world-wide expansion has been fast, still are very little known and are escasamente implanted in Europe.
This ignorance is the main obstacle so that the companies can take out party to a technology that has numerous applications in diverse sectors and that offers a remarkable potential for, of simple and economic form, increase the performance of a wide variety of materials and reduce the costs associated to the replacement of the same.
Along this session of work, recognised experts with a wide route in the study and application of cryogenic treatments in the field of the materials go to expose to the assistants the bases that will make them possible benefit of the use of these technicians. The manager of the area of cryogenic treatments of IK4-Azterlan, Luis Ángel Álava, will initiate the session with an introduction to the most notable appearances of a technology in which it works from does more than twelve years. Later, the professor Massimo Pellizzari, of the University of Trento, and the doctors Tomasz Babul and Aleksander Ciski, of the Institute of Precision Mechanics (IMP) of Warsaw, desvelarán the foundations of this type of processes. Finally, the founder of the Austrian company of cryogenic treatments Cooltech, Wolfgang Lausecker, will share with the diverse audience applications in which the cryogenic treatments are being using successfully.
