Promoted by Confemetal and Metcánica, the PTEMM creates with the aim to look for the opportunities of the sector metal-mechanics in Spain
It presents PTEMM, the Industrial Technological Platform Spaniard of the Sector Metal-Mechanical
The past 2 October, in Bilbao, and coinciding with the celebration of the Industrial and Technological Summit 2013, presented the Industrial Technological Platform Spaniard of the Sector Metal- Mechanical —PTEMM.
This initiative, led by Confemetal (Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations of the Metal), works so much with national tractor trucks —companies and foreign—, as with companies and SMEs of the sector. Also interactúa with other technological platforms, clústeres sectorial, universities and institutes of investigation.
Inside this network also have fit financial entities, engineers, consultancies and media, without forgetting the complicity of territorial associations and technology centres. The Platform receives likewise the tutela of the Public Administration and of the European institutions, to which informs of the different activities developed.
Like this explained it in the day Ignacio Fernández Zurita, technical director of PTEMM, the one who affirmed that all the public or private organisations that have an idea or have identified a need in some market that can be covered from the sector Metal-Mechanical will be welcome in the PTEMM. From here, the Platform identifies opportunities through meetings of groups of work or tractor trucks companies and managing the ideas that come from of the companies of the sector. Once posed a project, the PTEMM will study his technical and economic feasibility and will identify the ideal companies for his development. The following step is tutelar his development and the fill of his aims, term and commitments between the companies and institutions that participate in said project.
A Platform by and for the companies
The presentation, celebrated in the installations of the Bilbao Exhibition Centre, explained also with the participation of Andrés Sánchez of Apellániz, general secretary of Confemetal, that opened the day. Francisco Núñez Baro, boss of the Department of Technology of the Icex, and Xabier Ansa, coordinator of the program IcexNext, identified the programs of investment and exports that offers the Icex. By his part, Alberto González Castro, director of logistics of PSA Peugeot Citroën of Vigo, explained the logistical organisation of the industrial centre that this mark of trucks has in the city viguesa. Of the company John Deere Iberian Getafe took part Mario of Miguel, director operations of JDISAD, with the report ‘The competitiveness of the industry in Spain, our vision of Center of Excellence'.
Did not be the intervention of a representative of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. It was Carmen Vicente Vicente, boss of area of the General Sub-directorate of Public Collaboration- Private that spoke of the ‘Spanish Strategy of Science, Technology and of Innovation and Plans Associated'.
Of one of the main tractor trucks companies national, Indra, took part his director of Engineering of Shopping, Arturo Torres Calvé, with the report ‘Analysis of the risk of dependency of `providers. Process of homologation, evaluation and follow-up of providers'. Likewise, the day had the collaboration of the Association of Metallurgical Industries, Metalmecánicas and affine of Portugal —AIMMAP—, with the intervention of David Rodrigues, his Project Manager.
Another of the entities that collaborated in the presentation was the Centre for Industrial Technology Development, CDTI, that presented ‘Opportunities of Financials and Helps to the Innovation in SMEs'. Besides, in the stand of PTEMM organised bilateral meetings to orient to the companies in his proposals of projects R&D.
Like this, during all day 2 October, a technical specialist of the CDTI kept meetings with companies that presented his projects potentially financiables by the Centre for Industrial Technology Development.
