The contribution of Femap 11 to the productivity in engineering also includes to allow the creation of geometries from a mesh of finite elements, when it does not have of underlying geometry. This simplifies the modification and allows to inherit ancient models of finite elements that before took hours in updating and that now realise within a matter of minutes.
“The improvements of Femap 11 increase the productivity and the performance of the product allowing to the engineers review the results more quickly and realise an exhaustive analysis of the problems of complex engineering, ” comments Bill McClure, vice president of product development, Mainstream Engineering, Siemens PLM Software. “The capacity to simulate with precision in some virtual surroundings how a product will work in the real world can have a significant impact in the costs, the quality, the hygiene and the satisfaction of the customer associated to this product.”
Femap 11 will be available immediately. For more details of the last improvements visit
