Aclumex creates a technological antenna to enhance the Extremadura metalworking sector
This seminar was opened by the President of the Cluster, Angel Tome Mateos and the Director-General to promote business and industry, Juan Carlos Chávez Moreno. Both agreed to highlight the key role that technology plays in the competitiveness of the industrial companies in Western countries, where the cost of the factors of production is highest, and on the need that intermediate bodies such as the Cluster lead initiatives of this kind in order to help the Extremadura companies for to properly seize opportunities emerging tools and techniques offered to consolidate and improve its position in the market.
For its part, the Managing Director of Aclumex, Miguel Ángel Salgado Manso, mentioned the strong practical orientation of the new service of the Cluster, the experience and high professional qualification of the team involved in the project, as well as excellence scientific technical of technological partners and the wide range of areas covered by thesethus responding to the priorities of the companies in the sector.
The day has also served to show attendees entrepreneurs the main lines of development of key technologies that will be of greater relevance to the sector in the coming years: intelligent and modular machines, widespread application of the laser in processes on an industrial scale, integration of the technology of rapid prototyping, rapid tooling and rapid manufacturing in the processes of production in series, etc. This vision was developed by Cristina Arilla Javierre, Member of the R & d in the Ascamm technology centre, on behalf of the Observatory of Prospectiva Tecnológica Industrial (Opti), a foundation driven by the Ministry of industry, tourism and trade in order to help Governments and enterprises in r & d investment-related decisions.
The day continued with a sunset in common of the latest technological advances in the area of automation and optimization of industrial processes with application in the metalworking sector. In this panel the representatives of some of the members of the network of collaborators of the Aclumex of antenna technology, as it has been the case of Jesus Lake Gestido, Managing Director of the Center technological Aimen, Carlos may Ranera, delegate of group rendering, and Manuel Rodríguez Melchor, Technical Director of r & d Extremadura, together with the investigator of the University of Extremadura, Antonio Calderón Godoy, Coordinator of the Group of robotics, automation and production systems.
Finally, the day was closed by Sebastian Torralba Gómez, Director of the Department of business development of Sofiex, host entity of the Act, which expressed the commitment of this organization with the sector through support for the implementation underway of innovative investment projects.

It is currently the network of collaborators that supports the technological antenna comprised: Asyge, Atisae, Render group, r & d Extremadura, SGS Tecnos, Centro Tecnológico Aimen and Instituto Tecnológico Aimme. This selection of companies and national and regional r & d agencies have technological offer specialized for the metal processing sector. With all these entities the Cluster has signed collaboration agreements that translate in a better position in terms of time and money for partner companies that hire their services and innovation through the antenna.
