More than 40 leading companies of the Basque Country, presents in the Upper Technical School of Engineering of Bilbao

The companies attend to the Days to attract talent and have in novelty the opportunity to ‘seduce' to the engineers of the morning in front of the every time greater risk that they are hired by foreign companies, and explain personally which opportunities of work and professional development offers each one of them to the youngsters with a high technical qualification. And it is that, in spite of the economic crisis, there are professional profiles that continue resulting strategic, and between them stand out the engineers. This potential “escape of brains” puts in danger the growth of the local companies, that begin to find difficulties to hire home young highly skilled. The Upper Technical School of Engineering of Bilbao, conscious of this problem, promotes these direct meetings between both parts.
Along six days, a total of 44 companies, associations, technology centres and institutions have the occasion to present in front of the students of the ETSI of Bilbao. They occupy the grandstand of invited from public institutions like the Deputation Foral of Biscay to business associations like AFM (Association of manufacturers of Machine Tool), going through technology centres like IK4, Tecnalia or CTA, consultancies like Accenture or Indra, and delegations of present multinationals in Euskadi like General Electric, Siemens, Alstom or IBM. Between the local companies, stand out leaders in his respective sectors, as it is the case of Maier, Irizar or Batz (Automotive sector); Aernnova and ITP (aeronautical sector component manufacturing sector component manufacturing sector component manufacturing); Gamesa, Ingeteam, Siemsa, Velatia, Iberdrola or ZIV (Power); Acerinox (Metal); or the engineers Sener, Idom and Elecnor.
The Upper Technical School of Engineering of Bilbao is one of the educational centres leaders in the State in the sector of the Engineering. Like this it shows it the high level of labour insertion of his students, had to so much to the character of the learning as to the politics of continuous relation with the business world that keeps the School. In this sense, the interest by the profession, industrial mentality and the level of requirement in the learning that afterwards palpa in the practical are some of the appearances that stand out the employers of the titled of the ETSI of Bilbao.
