Atlantic Logistic Forum 2010 will be from 25 to 26 November in Irun

The 7th Edition of the Atlantic Logistic Forum, the professional forum for the transport and the logistics of the Atlantic, will be held on 25 and 26 November in the border town of Irun (Gipuzkoa), in the new trade fair centre Ficoba. This cross-border Professional Forum (www.forumalf.com) aims to provide a place of encounter and debate for the professionals of the sector environment to the current state of the transport and logistics. As every year, the programme of the forum includes a space dedicated to the guest country, which this time will be Sweden, in order to know the logistics of this country, exemplary, especially in regards sustainable transportation.
The place and date of the Forum was decided on February 15 during the celebration of the General Assembly of the Aquitaine-Euskadi logistics platform (PLAE), attended by officials of the Governments of Euskadi and Aquitaine in deciding the lines of action and the activities to be developed by the group in the coming months.
On the other hand, it was decided that 3 transboundary Conference will be organized throughout the year from the PLAE.
- The first one will be environment to the maritime logistics in the Euroregion. This day will be held in Bilbao in the month of April (the location and dates are yet to put into practice).
- The second of the Conference will address the issue of the railway projects developed in the Euroregion.
- Finally, the PLAE will organize a day dedicated to the transport by road.
In addition, the Assembly also found that, in addition to these three days, the PLAE will organize two guided tours to various European ports of an interest and, finally, agreed on the main lines of the new 'Strategic Plan' of the PLAE.
