The program of the XV Congress Aecoc of Ironmongery and Bricolaje pretends to give answer to the interests of the companies of the sector detected through the sectorial committee of the association. It treats of one of the big actions that from Aecoc realises in this field along the year, since this community works in other a lot of fronts to do more efficient the relations between the companies and contribute to the growth of the market, answering with efficiency to the demands of the consumer.
In 2011 have realised big advances in this line. Like this, the Committee Aecoc of Ironmongery and Bricolaje has approved the new ‘Classification Standardised of Products', renewing like this a tool of work truly useful to endow to manufacturers and distributors of a common language on his products, that definitely will increase the efficiency in his relations —when simplifying the interpretation— and will allow to increase the knowledge of the market, by means of studies based in a common structure.
The new classification reduces the number of sections (of 16 to 12) and of families of product (of 152 to 116), simplifying like this the organisation and adapting his definition to the new reality of the sector. No in vain, from the year 2000, in that it was approved the previous classification, the market of Ironmongery and Bricolaje has evolved considerably, by what was necessary to review this organisation of products, deleting and proposing new categories where was necessary. Fruit of this review are born families of product like Decoration, Garden, Kitchen or Painting, that have won a lot of leadership in this market in the last years.
Likewise, along 2011 has promoted the utilisation of the system of Electronic Exchange of Documents EDI, that will allow to increasingly Spanish companies invoice electronically by means of the standard promoted in our country by Aecoc, like member of the international organisation GS1. And it is that in this year it has reached an agreement of interconnection between the ‘networks EDI' certified by Aecoc —Edicom, Beings and Ediversa— what will allow to the companies users exchange documents with guarantees of compatibility, without costs added. An agreement that, added to the reached with networks like Indra-Telefónica, situates us in front of a stage in which 90% of the traffic EDI in our country will realise under the standards of Aecoc; definitely all an inducement for his utilisation.
More near of the consumer
The Committee Aecoc of Ironmongery and Bricolaje also has taken advantage of 2011 to seat the bases that will allow to obtain a better knowledge of the consumer of this type of products in our country, so much professional like individual. For this has established a series of indicators that will allow to analyse the evolution of the market and has seated the guidelines to analyse the consumption, generating a greater knowledge, improving the relation between manufacturers and distributors and propiciando the application of best practices of management in the point of sale.
By the moment the result of these efforts has translated in the celebration, along this year, of several days on optimisation of the point of sale. In 2012 it will expand this work focalizado in the area of the demand. The challenge, from the point of view of the sectorial committee of Aecoc, consists in creating a system of analysis that generate confidence and that have a big representativeness in the sector.
The area of Ironmongery and Bricolaje of Aecoc will celebrate in 2012, likewise, a new edition of his International Seminar, after the success of the first proposals, the last in Germany. The International Seminar of Colony had the participation of a veintena of companies that had the opportunity to know a clearly dominated market by the big surfaces of bricolaje, with very little presence of traditional formats and a major prominence of the sections of gardening and decoration. Aecoc Will follow betting by the celebration of International Seminars all time that have showed to be a big formula of learning and inspiration for the growth of the Spanish market based in models of success of international field.
All the networks EDI certified by Aecoc will be interconnected between them. With the agreement between Edicom, Beings and Ediversa the users EDI will avoid costs added and difficulties in implantation because of problems of interconnection.
This agreement will favour the development of EDI and will delete the barriers that the fault of interconnection supposed for the companies users of all the sectors. Added to the agreement with networks like Indra-Telefónica, complete the stage of interconnection between the main platforms: 90% of users and traffic EDI in low Spain standards GS1.
Likewise, the interconectividad will allow that the customers users EDI of these networks can exchange electronic documents without need to hire the services to more than a network guaranteeing the total interconnection between them.
