The value of the Spanish export of flower and alive plant increased 17% in the first quarter of 2010 in relation with the same period of 2011, totalizando 70,5 million euros, according to the up to date data until March by the Department of Customs and Special Taxles of the Agency Tributaria, processed by Fepex. Of January to March of this year grew so much the sendings to the outside of alive plant, main chapter of the Spanish export of this sector, 19% more in regard to the same period of 2011, as the ones of flower cut, with 21% more. The value of the export of alive plant rose to 60,2 million euros, of which 28,7 million euros corresponded to plant of external (+11%) and 9,8 million euros to plant of inner (+11%). Inside the alive plant has stood out also the increase of the exports of trees and bushes, 30%, totalizando 11 million euros.
The export of flower cut increased 21%, situating in 8,6 million euros, of which 3,3 million euros corresponded to carnation, that registered a descent of 16%. By regions, the main exporting: Valencian Community, Andalucia and Catalonia increased his exports in regard to 2011. The sendings to the outside of the Valencian Community situated in 21 million euros (+12%), the ones of Andalucia rose to 17 million euros (+20%) and the ones of Catalonia situated in 15 million euros (+6%).

By markets of destination, the export of flower and alive plant of January to March of 2011 concentrated in France, Low Countries and Germany mainly. The sendings to France totalizaron 25,5 million euros, 14% more than in the same period of 2011; the sendings to Low Countries situated in 10 million euros, 28% more than in the first quarter of 2011 and to Germany situated in 8 million euros, 29% of increase. Only the exports to Italy, the fourth market of destinations of the flower and Spanish alive plant, reduced , in 8%, totalizando 5,2 million euros.
For Vicente Peris, president of the Committee of Flores and Plants of Fepex and president of the Fair Iberflora, the development of the campaign of export to date is improving significantly the results of the the previous year, with an increase of the consumption in the main external markets as it observes in the relative data to France, Low Countries or Germany.
