GE Creates in Madrid a Centre of Excellence for infrastructures, with Jaime Elguero at the front

General Electric (GE) informs of the creation of a Centre of Excellence to give support in knowledge of market and technology to the companies of engineering, supply and construction (EPC, in the slang of the sector) of the Iberian Peninsula in his processes of internationalisation. At the head of this initiative will be Jaime Elguero, up to now director of Accounts in GE Power, that will report directly to Daniel Carreño, president of GE in Spain and Portugal, and whose mission will be to create the organisational base of the area, as well as his back development.
Inside all the structure of GE, the centre only has another homologous in South Korea, devoted to the Asian market, and Spain has awarded it to him in front of other locations of the multinational for agglutinating a good elenco of the main companies of big infrastructures of the world.
Although initially the Centre of Excellence will serve to the thickness of Spanish companies, the aim to half and long term is to turn it into point of reference to world-wide level for big projects of infrastructures of the community of the EPC in his group. For this committed, the centre will devote to the analysis of needs of this sector also in Europe, America –especially Latin America – and Africa, with the end to develop the most appropriate proposals contributing his know-how, technology, global presence and financials.
