The sector hotelero of the Costa Brava bets by the energetic efficiency
7 March 2014
The hotels conform a very sensitive sector to the consumption of power because of the big weight of the energetic consumption of some areas as they are the air conditioning or the lighting. These areas can arrive to represent more than 60% of the energetic consumption of the hotel and until 9% of the total of the operative costs of exploitation. It treats of complex buildings in which they work several processes in parallel: from the management of data and connections IP, until the safe supply of the power, the energetic management, the technical alarms, the detection of fires, the enclosed circuit of television, the lighting, the heating or the air conditioned.
Given the high costs of the power and his clear upward trend in the next decades, is indispensable for the sector hotelero have solutions of energetic efficiency that allow to monitor and integrate all the systems of his buildings, as well as reduce his energetic consumption and increase his profitability. Nevertheless, these solutions have to go always of the hand and in perfect balance with the comfort and welfare of the guests, a fundamental appearance in the hospitality industry.
Through the program
In the second part of the meeting celebrated yesterday in Lloret of Sea, Àlex Ridaura, founder of the engineering adhered to the network Ecoxpert Habitat Prpjects (Blanes), exposed the real case of implementation of measures of energetic efficiency in the Hotel Fergus Mediterranean Sea of Santa Susanna (Barcelona). The assistants to the day could see in real time the state of all the systems of the hotel, his consumption, occupation and wear. “Our priority is to optimise the cost of power by means of systems of control of installations reducing his consumption and in consequence doing more profitable the hotel”, aimed Ridaura.
