• Cement
Caustic materials. It involves hazard due to the materials involved in their composition (silica, lime and sulphuric anhydride, among others). One of its harmful effects is the burn, while the most common effect is the allergic reaction. To demonstrate, the allergic reaction may need years of contact between the cement and the epidermis, but produced once, there is no remedy.
• Resins and oils from desmoldeado
Skin contact with hardener can cause allergic reactions already commented. These oils can block the follicles of the hairs of the hand, causing a Follicular Pyoderma, skin condition resulting from an infection of the skin and the emergence of grains. Formwork desmoldeado oils also irritate the skin.
• Tar and obtained from bituminous products
They contain phenols which, in contact with the hands, can cause swelling, blisters and acne due to oils. They are corrosive chemicals.
• Woodworking
It involves injuries by the use of tools such as the chisel, the brush, the hammer, or different types of saws. Prick with a splinter may cause an infection. The sawdust powder can trigger skin dermatitis and allergic asthmatic reactions.
Other dangers come from Union lines and products for the protection of the wood.
Other risks in the construction sector are derived from the use of:
-Glass and metal with sharp edges. Danger of serious cut or micro-cortes who are infected.
-Fiberglass. Causes micro-incisiones to break the protective barrier of the skin (possibility of infections).
-Paint, solvents and degreasers. The paintings contain isocyanates (allergens that can cause dermatitis). Solvents and degreasing are vulnerable hands. Through them they penetrate the body, and can reach the blood flow and exert their toxic effect serious.
-Acids. Employees for cleaning stains from mortar, cause dermatitis and burns.
-Machinery. Vibrátiles machine tools (drills, grinders, hammers) cause injury of the circulatory system.
-Atmospheric weather negatively affect the hands, the first tool of construction worker.
