Case CX700B ME demonstrates his sensitivity in extraction in Eifel (Germany)
July 4, 2011
Almost six months, the company Backes Bau und transport GmbH has been working with a bulldozer of the heavy line to Case, model CX700B ME. The task entrusted to him has been mining in the cellar of Dockweiler situated in the Centre of the volcanic Eifel (Germany) region to feed a basalt grinding plant and washed for its own construction of roads.
When an excavator of chains that weighs about 70 tons, which has 463 HP and which is specially designed for heavy earthmoving work, intended to extraction, the profile of applications of the machine is clearly defined. Huge forces boot from 224 kN, extremely fast loading, a modern engine and the hydraulic management meet all requirements for a special performance in the handling of materials. But in the cellar of Dockweiler things are different. A decisive factor for the acquisition of the most powerful machine of Case CX family was not its special performance in large scale extraction, but the successful combination of a very powerful hydraulics, solid construction and extremely sensitive handling.
These special requirements for the crawler excavator respond to the particular situations of working of the deposit of basalt and lava Eselberg, relatively close to the local border of Dockweiler and standards for the conservation of nature and the landscape.
