Andalusia invests more than 550 million in the maintenance of roads and road safety

The Ministry of public works and housing of the Junta de Andalucía has invested during this parliamentary term 553,2 million euros in works of conservation and road safety, allowing among other things the renewal of the firm and the pavement at 3.313,8 kilometers. These actions have been implemented on the regional road network, which includes high-capacity routes and conventional.
This line of action has gained weight in the whole of the investments made by the Junta de Andalucía in the last two legislatures in the field of road infrastructure, from 17.7 per cent in 2004 to 29 per cent in 2009. This progression is situated in Andalusia and the national territory in the orbit of the countries of the European environment, where once completed the network of high capacity roads efforts will redirect to its correct conservation and permanent adaptation.
Altogether these actions implemented, conditioning, reinforcement, improvement and rehabilitation of the firm at 3.313,8 kilometres have been an investment of EUR 232 million. The integral conservation, which includes operations management, maintenance and improvement of roads, as well as the construction and maintenance of conservation centres, have been earmarked a sum of 105,3 million euros. In the same way, the improvement of systems of containment, the alignment of vertical and horizontal signalling, as well as the renovation of the buoyage have generated a cost of 55.5 million and have been applied to 1.935 kilometers.
