Andalusia invest 3.1 billion in repair of five roads damaged by the torrential rains

The Minister of public works and housing of the Junta de Andalucía, Josefina Cruz Villalón, reported to the Governing Council of the work of Emergency Department carried out in five roads in the provinces of Cádiz, Jaén and Málaga affected by the torrential rains of last winter. Projects have a total budget of 3.1 million euros and 106 associated jobs (63 direct and indirect 43).
The intervention of larger (1.47 billion euros and 46 jobs) takes place on the road A-393, which unites the Cadiz municipalities of waiting and Arcos de la Frontera and was affected by the overflow of the Salado Creek in the vicinity of the first. Works include the elevation of the ground level, the construction of a new bridge of 25 metres of light on the stream, slope protection, the increase in the capacity of drainage and improvement of a curve to increase road safety.
Also in the province of Cadiz carried out emergency works on two points of the A-373 road as it passes through the forest, to repair cracks, deformation and subsidence. Works are mainly directed to stabilize embankments, restore the damaged firm and constructing new drains and jetties.
