ZW140 and ZW150: the new two Hitachi wheel loaders
January 26, 2009
Hitachi engineers have used their experience and technique to expand the range of wheel loaders of wheels that complement for Zaxis-3 excavators. The advanced technology available has enabled them to establish innovative performance and productivity standards.
Better performance
Hitachi has equipped with powerful engines ZW140 and ZW150 models, economic and durable. 96 And 107 kW, for the ZW140 and ZW150 wheel loaders engines respectively, allow to reduce fuel consumption and increase productivity across a wide range of applications.
The operators will find the new highly effective machines due to an innovative driving hydraulic system - the hydrostatic transmission (HST). The HST system offers greater mobility to full load, a smoother control on slopes and under acceleration and deceleration. These advantages are obtained thanks to the two engines of the HST system, which allows more efficient operating from the powerful traction at low speed, up to a maximum speed of 39 km/h.
In addition, the speed of the HST system selector provides a maximum range of four-speed of movement to meet the particular requirements of each job. Similarly, when the first range is selected, the maximum speed can be adjusted to four incremental levels, which increase efficiency and simplify the work in confined spaces.
On the other hand, the strength of optimal traction on both machines also can be adjusted to increase their effectiveness. The new models feature four modes of work that can be selected according to the needs of work and the preferences of the operator. The corresponding electronic control, which was a first in the sector, detects the hydraulic pressure and controls the traction force to optimize productivity and minimizing tire wear and fuel consumption.
Maximum comfort and safety
The cabin of the ZW140 and the ZW150 has been developed thinking of the operator. All controls, switches and pedals have been ergonomically designed and located for easy handling. Everything is hand the operator the option of a joystick multi-function or a dual lever.
The cabin is spacious and comparable to a loader of Hitachi larger wheels. Its fully adjustable air suspension seat and bent steering column, provide comfortable and variable working conditions.
The generous mirrors and large Windows provide excellent visibility overall, allowing the operator to directly see the movements of the blade, with a more secure operation and increasing the efficiency of load.
The cockpit well sealed and isolated cushions shocks and vibrations, which also helps reduce resonance and offers reduced noise levels. Operators also benefited from an environment with air conditioning and a hollow ceiling of resin, which helps to prevent fluctuations in temperature.
Reduced maintenance costs
Maintenance and operating costs are significantly reduced due to easily accessible points of inspection and more durable components.
The ZW140 and ZW150 wheel loaders used durable as HN bushings, axles, transmission and brake components. The new caps HN increase intervals for lubrication of 100 to 500 hours, helping to extend service intervals and reducing downtime.
The throttle limiter allows to reduce fuel consumption to 12% when the maximum speed is reduced by 10 per cent. The cooling system is equipped with a fan of hydraulic operation that adapts according to the temperature of the fluid, eventually reducing the fuel consumption.
