Komatsu Europe International dona A hybrid excavator HB215LC-1 to the International Polar Foundation

The excavator HB215LC–1 is a hybrid machine of second generation instrumented with technology of last generation Komatsu. It offers an average of lower broadcasts, 25% less than consumption of fuel and fewer broadcasts of CO2 that a traditional excavator. The hybrid machine donada to the Polar Foundation was prepared and instrumented for the work in the station Princess Elisabeth by BIA in his installations in Fleurus, Belgium. The technical director of the station and the operator of the excavator received technical and practical learning.
On 2 December, the hybrid excavator loaded in María Antarctic' in the port of Zeebrugge, in Belgium. The ship is programmed to arrive to his destination in the Antarctica on 15 January 2014, after having done scale on 21 December in City of the Cape, South Africa. To continuation, will transport to the station Princess Elisabeth, to some 240 kilometros of distance.
