Mercadona and Eroski show their practices in urban transport of goods

Mercadona and Eroski, companies that stand out to advance in Spain of goods efficiently and sustainable urban transport, are two of the prominent cases that meet the I Forum Aecoc in the urban transport of goods, to be held in Barcelona on October 19.
Pedro Corraliza, Coordinator of the Division of transport and packaging of Mercadona, will be responsible for bringing attendees key initiatives of the company in this field, doing a special on their night-time downloads focus. A particular initiative to reconcile business requirements with the socio-environmental well-being. For its part, Mikel Larrea, director of transport of Eroski Group, be presented along with the director of circulation and transport of the City Council of Bilbao, Fernando Gonzalez Vara, his collaboration project in search of efficiency in the urban transport of goods. A plan that is part of the so-called "reserve dynamic squares", allowing carriers to book place, online, for its cargo operations and download.
The I Forum Aecoc in urban transport of goods will also address the challenges of the channel Horeca (hotel, catering and catering) in the urban distribution of merchandise, the trends in the sector in other European countries and the role of fuels in promoting a more sustainable urban distribution in its programme.
In the section devoted to the challenges of the Horeca channel Forum will feature a panel discussion in which take part the commercial director of the Group Disbesa, Pere Saborit, director of logistics for VIPS, William Christopher, the Manager of the delegation group Logifrio CenterDavid Villafranca and responsible for operations of Guzmán gastronomy, Juanjo Suleiman.
Also, participate as speakers at the meeting the director of mobility services of the Barcelona City Council, Ángel López, Secretary of the Government of the Netherlands, Robert Goevaers, sustainable transport and the director-general in Samada - subsidiary logistics of the distribution Monoprix - Claude Samson group.
The Forum of the urban transport of goods was born to bring companies and municipalities outstanding projects and initiatives designed to develop, in the cities, an efficient, competitive and sustainable freight transport at all levels, i.e. from the economic point of viewsocial and environmental.
