Siemens begins with strength the exercise 2014

Without including the effects of the change of currencies and of the wallet, the new requests of Siemens increased 12% in the first quarter of the fiscal exercise 2014 (finalised on 31 December 2013) until the €20.800 millions. The income reached the €17.300 millions, only 1% underneath of the level of the previous year. The ‘book to bill' (ratio of contracting) was of 1,20 and the wallet of requests at the end of the quarter went back to reach a historical figure, situating in the €102.000 millions. The total profit of the sectors increased 15% until the €1.800 millions, whereas the margin of profit situated in 10,2%, in comparison with 8,6% of the previous quarter. The net profit increased 20% until near of €1.500 millions and the profit by action elevated until the €1,70 from the €1,42.
The new requests of the sector Power increased 3% until the €7.200 millions, in spite of that the surroundings of market continues being very competitive. The sector Healthcare contributed in €471 millions to the profits of the first quarter, in front of the €503 millions of the quarter of the previous year. In the sector Industry, the new requests repuntaron 10% until the €4.600 millions, thanks to an important increase in the volume of big requests in the businesses of long cycle of the sector. The income kept in the level of the previous year, situating in €4.300 millions and the profit fell 5% until the €482 millions. In the sector Infrastructures and Cities, the new requests increased 45%.
