They open the new station of buses and the parking of the Area Leioa-Erandio of the UPV/EHU

The day 2 September, opened to the public the new station of buses and the new parking of the Area Leioa-Erandio of the Campus of Biscay of the UPV/EHU, situated in front of the Faculty of Medicine and Odontology. These new infrastructures, that are already operative a week before the official beginning of the course 2013-2014, will endow to the campus of 18 new dársenas and a zone of wait covered, and of a total of 1.127 squares of parking for vehicles. The utilisation of the parking will be free the business days of 7.00 to 22.00 and his use will be restricted at night, the weekends and the holidays. To the equal that the rest of the university installations of the same order, will be totally free.

The new building, whose execution has lasted thirteen months and has finalised in the planned term, has a total surface of 20.219,32 square metres built, distributed in four plants, the last of them without cover. To the parking will be able to access by the Road Apia, joint the main entrance to the Campus, and the exit will be situated just across the building, in steering to the road Leioa-Unbe. Each one of the four plants, of some 6.700 square metres, is divided in four longitudinal streets, all they of an only sense and with a road peatonal in one of his sides. The circulation filmed inner between the distinct plants will carry out by means of two unisteeringal ramps, one for rise and another for descent, had in the central zone of the building. By his part, there are four ladders of access for pedestrians -one in each façade of the building- and an elevator for the people of mobility reduced, in the tower that gives to the Road Apia.

The works of construction of the new parking of the Area Leioa-Erandio of the Campus of Biscay of the UPV/EHU began on 29 July 2012. Like consequence of these works, the parking provisional that was situated in this zone remained cancelled and enabled , temporarily, a new zone of parking in the track of athletics. Now, once finalised the works of the new parking, the own company adjudicator will commission along the next weeks of the recovery of the track of athletics, as it collects in the clausulas of the granting of the works. Likewise, for mediated of September will have enabled other 118 squares of external parking in the surroundings of the new parking, to which will access through two bridges peatonales.

On the other hand, of face to the course 2013-2014, the Vicerrectorado of the Campus of Biscay of the UPV/EHU has opened a new announcement for the reservation of squares of parking to vehicles with high occupation for students, that is to say, for those that attend daily to the Campus with three or more students in his interior. By means of this initiative, that set up in the second cuatrimestre of the past course, will reserve a zone of 25 squares of parking -in the low plant of the Central Library- to trucks that fulfil with two requirements: that the vehicle for which requests access attend daily to the Campus with three or more people in his interior and that his occupants are students of the UPV/EHU. The permission will last of 1 September 2013 to 30 August 2014.
