The University of Studies on the Oil and the Power of the Indian (UPES) has chosen to Air Products to build the first hidrogenera that works with power solar. The technology of repostaje of hydrogen and the infrastructure of Air Products will form part of the sustainable supply of the public network of buses and of the program of the UPES to show his application in vehicles. The station of repostaje, that will produce hydrogen from solar power by means of an electrolizador, will situate in the Centre of next Solar Power to Delhi and is foreseen that it begin to work in July of 2013.
Hidrogenera.
“The hydrogen generated in this station will be 100% renewable. This plasma the commitment of the Indian society with the development of sources of alternative power as well as the experience of Air Products in the supply of hydrogen like alternative fuel. The project of the UPES will allow to Air Products access to future opportunities in the sector of the transport and the telecommunications in the Indian”, affirmed Nigel Gibson, general director of Air Products in the Indian. The UPES is developing this project in collaboration with Indian Oil, and is funded by the Ministry of New Renewable Energies of the Government of the Indian.
Firmly engaged with the development of clean and sustainable energies, the group Air Product participates actively en el futuro of the hydrogen like energetic vector developing new technologies and infrastructures for the hydrogen fuel.
The use of the technology developed by the Group is increasing and, at present, Air Products realises more than 500.000 repostados to the year. The company has participated in more than 150 projects of repostaje with hydrogen all over the world and has 150 service stations of hydrogen in 19 countries of three continents. In Europe, the company has of 30 centres of production of hydrogen.
In Spain, Metallic Carbides, company of the group Air Products, has designed, built and place in service the infrastructure of storage of hydrogen of the wind park of Leeward in Galicia, the hidrogenera of Saragossa, and the hidrogenera of the project Hercules in Andalucia. Likewise, Air Products leads the project HyTEC, in which it also participates the centre of R&D of Metallic Carbides, MATGAS, to install in London and new Copenhagen service stations of hydrogen.
