Telvent Wins an agreement in Castellón to advance in the intelligent gestión of the mobility

The platform Telvent SmartMobility ICM will allow the control coordinated and integral of all the appearances related with the mobility of the city. Initially, the platform will centre in the monitoring centralised of the infrastructures of intelligent traffic and of the panels of information to the traveller, leaving the open possibility to the local authorities to go integrating other services related with the mobility of the city, like the public transport or the parkings.

The platform ICM will provide tools of gestión advanced to the operators of the centre of control of urban mobility, will improve the communication between the administrations and will allow to manage evento that affect to the mobility of form coordinated: works, incidents, sportive evento, social or politicians. Likewise, it will allow to supervise the state of the traffic in real time, analyse his historical evolution and do prognoses of situation in the short term. All this, by means of intuitive tools of graphic visualisation (GIS or systems georreferenciales), that facilitate the taking of decisions to the agents of the mobility.

Like part of the agreement, is foreseen that Telvent integrate to this platform ICM a platform additional web to spread publicly information on mobility, municipal services and tourism. Through the web of Castellón of the Flat, the users will be able to calculate routes and time of trip, consult the state of the traffic and know the best options for his travel, as well as any type of incidence in the road and the modifications that can suffer the public transport. Of the same way, the users will be able to access to information on points of tourist and cultural interest, improving notably the experience of the visitors to the city.

According to Ignacio González Domínguez, president and adviser delegated of Telvent: “we Are loved to contribute together with the City council of Castellón of the Flat to convert this municipality in a Smart City of prime importance and provide to his citizens a greater quality of life”.

Finally and together with the platform ICM, Telvent will implant a system that allows to know the time that takes a car in doing a route between two points. This system of “time of route” is of big utility for the consortiums of transport and the local authorities to the hour to optimise the urban planning and the gestión of the resources of mobility. Through signals bluetooth and WIFI, the system provides data like the state of the traffic, flow of vehicles, estimate of aforos, identification of patterns, alarms of congestion and detection of incidences, historical of data and predictions; in addition to studying the matrices Origin/Allocate and generate reports for the operators of the traffic.

This is a project that will facilitate the task of control of the agents of the mobility and will expand the possibilities of interaction between the authorities and the citizens, those who, to his time, will benefit of improvements in the mobility and quality of life thanks to the reduction of the environingingmental and acoustic pollution.
