Urban equipment modulate and sustainable

To know the last tendencies in urban equipment it is necessary to know the thorough market. Àlex Jiménez and Jon M. Marín, founders in 2008 of Nutcreatives, knew in The Prat of Llobregat, that as it explains Àlex Jiménez, “is the city where grew the two partners of Nutcreatives, knew his projects of public space and natural space (the zone of the Delta, the accesses to the beach, the bank of the river, etc.) and seemed us very interesting. Besides they had of a school workshop and of a small company of marbles and granites, by what was an ideal place to apply the project Relaxles. We proposed it to him, liked them the idea and accepted to do a small series of banks like pilot proof”.

More than following tendencies, bet for creating it, with a very determinate philosophy “Nut is a walnut, a seed, the embryo of something with life and that grows. Something beautiful so much in his form as in his content. A natural element symbol of development, of essence and of synthesis. With this premise is cream Nutcreatives, with the intention that the values associated to this walnut reflect in each one of our works”.

In fact, this concept arrives to the point that “in the design take into account no only the product in yes, but all what this involves: from the materials that are extracted of the half, until the death of the object, going through the moment in that the person enjoys it or uses it. We inspire us in the nature and aspire to abstraer of her the necessary to complete each one of our proposals, but do not leave to take into account to the human being in all his appearances, since it is the centre of gravity around the cual turns any object”.

But the project Relaxles is in process of consolidation, recently have arrived to an agreement with the city council of The Prat, but “treats of a small series of banks, by what his length will be brief. We will initiate the production in less than a month, and this will be short. What interests us for the time being is to check the operation of the project in some surroundings like the one of the Prat, for from here, continue applying it in other zones of the municipality and surroundings”.

The design, the innovation or the sustainability are important factors, but no definite in the urban equipment. Àlex Jiménez describes his advantages affirming that “we speak of a double profit. On the one hand always we try that the intrinsic quality of the product was the best possible, the best materials, a design that was adapted perfectly to the needs of each place and concrete user, and by the another is the offer a product manufactured with responsibility, so much to the surroundings as to the society, that improve local economies of vicinity”.

On the other hand, Nutcreatives has other projects between hands because, as it comments Jiménez, “are working from does already more than a year for a microempresa of urban equipment of Gandesa, Grisverd, that shares our same philosophy to improve the environingingmental and social impacts through the design of product, and of the production in his case. Together with them we have implanted in the material sector that up to now were infrautilizados, and are obtaining results very interesting”.

“Besides, - add Jiménez - are beginning to develop a line of furniture of destined interior to an ecological house, working with local producers, material certificates, etc”.

Nutcreatives Is not a company with exclusive customers, in fact, comments Álex Jiménez, “are focused in working so much for private companies as for public servicys, since we have realised projects that go from the urban equipment or the intervention in natural surroundings, to the furniture of interior”.

In spite of being young, no descartan participate in days of learning, “since we think that is necessary to share our point of view on the design with the designers that begin, by what are developing a line of courses and destined workshops to universities and schools of all type”.

Nutcreatives Does not live only of the project Relaxles, since, as we can see in his web, works in the projects Bones, Passa'l or Minos, with the same philosophy of creativity in the design. In this sense, the evolution of the company “has been slow but constant. Our more immediate interest is to consolidate a team of solid work that allow us face projects more ambitious without losing never the attention by the small details”.
