This project arose from the need identified by the municipality of Paterna of measuring and controlling the density of traffic in certain ways of access to the town as well as some residential areas, and do so without having to install barriers or bollards.

"We had not thought exactly in the solution but we had it clear that we didn't want to fill the city of barriers." "They impede traffic and they may pose a danger in case of emergency," explains Vicente Arenes, Councillor for security of the municipality of Paterna.

With this initial aim, Osmoca Valencia put hands to work. After an exhaustive analysis of the key points which had to place cameras such as the entrances to the urban case in the housing estates, and model of cameras that better served the required needs, proceeded to the installation of the same.

In total 16 cameras, all Mobotix, "high-tech German" have been introduced: 13 model M12 cameras strategically distributed by the various points of access of the town, and 2 cameras Hemispheric Q24, and 1 of the model M24, to control the interior and access to the police station.

Although the initial function of the cameras is to manage and regulate the traffic, above all to control the access to Paterna and estates, this display of Mobotix cameras with multiple functionality has been an increase in the city's security measures.
