The central solar thermal of La Garrovilla installs a sewage treatment plant

50 MW = 32,000 families
The central solar thermal of La Dehesa, who has started the works in the month of February, will produce nearly 50 MW, equivalent to the domestic consumption of energy of some 32,000 families. With this plant, and four that are being built in the region, the Ministry of industry, energy and environment projects everything necessary so that, in the year 2012, one-third of the consumption of electric energy in Extremadura comes from renewable energy sources.
Thanks to its compact plants prefabricated steel Oxycompact intended for the treatment of waste, the quality of the treated water is such that, once treated, this water becomes available to discharge to any channel or receptor, or for reuse in irrigation, fulfilling the most demanding regulations.
