AEAS, 40 years innovando in the urban gestión of the water

The Spanish Association of Supplies of Water, AEAS, constituted in May of 1973 with the aim to coordinate, spread and defend the activity of the services and companies of supply of water and saneamiento and be an engine of stimulus to the investigation, collaboration and communication in the sector. Since it has developed his work collaborating with the administrations in matter of legislation, reglamentación and technical performance, looking for always the improvement of the services of water and keeping an active paper in learning and studies on the activity, always in collaboration with all the public and private agents.
In these 40 years, the services of urban water have developed extraordinarily of the hand of the technological evolution and of the permanent innovation. The legislation and the rule have multiplied , so much by the European directives as by the legislative capacity of the Autonomous Communities and of course by all the one who demands the increasing complexity of the technologies incorporated.
AEAS Has worked effectively in all these areas promoting the innovation and the collaboration between his members, the transmission of experiences and the support to the public servicys. After 40 years of history, the challenges renew continuously parallel to the new needs while the collaboration with the rest of actors involved in the activity keeps growing.
Evento of the 40 Anniversary AEAS
The memorial act of the 40 Anniversary of AEAS celebrated in Madrid, in the headquarters of the CSIC, and that it was presented by Lourdes Maldonado, started with the intervention of Roque Gistau, president of AEAS, the one who spoke of the enormous transformation become in the sector in these years and of the intense and constant innovative activity of the managing companies of water.
Almut Bonhage, general secretary of EUREAU, European Federation of National Associations Agents of Services of Water, congratulated to AEAS for his European partners.
To continuation developed a signpost under the title of “The innovation in the urban services of water. Of the botijo to the intelligent water”, in which they participated: Liana Ardiles, General Director of the Water; Mercedes Vinuesa Sebastián, General Director of Public Health, Quality and Innovation; Enrique Cabrera, Chair of Fluid mechanics of the Technological Institute of the Water of the Polytechnical University of Valencia; Ángel Cavalier, Vice-president attach of Transfer of the Knowledge of the Upper Council of Scientific Investigations; Ángel Fernández, Secretary General of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces; Manuel Arenilla Sáez, Director of the National Institute of Public Administration; and José María Múgica Flores, General Director of the OCU, Organisation of Consumers and Users.
Manuel Toharia, scientific Director of the City of the Arts and of the Sciences of Valencia, took part to continuation with a report titled 'A route by the innovation in the water'.
In this act did delivery of 'The Blue Drop of AEAS' to personalities with a long and important route in the professional world of the gestión of the urban water, linked to the association. The recognitions 'The Blue Drop' conceded to Juan Badías López of Longoria, José Bernis Vilagut, José of Castro Morcillo, Juan Chastang Marín, José Miguel Eizaguirre Basterrechea, María del Carmen Fat Muñoz, Pedro Grau Verdaguer, Aurelio Hernández Muñoz, Antonio Jiménez Medina, Lleonard Matía Ribot, Avelino Martínez Smith, Francisco Moreno Bardají, José Antonio Orejón Haystacks, Fernando Carries Visa, José Luis Rodríguez López and José Rubió Bosch.
