The era of clean energy: intelligent energy cells
In full crucial telephone conversation mobile phone runs out of battery, in full shooting of a wedding and the key moment in the video camera indicates "low battery" or miles from the nearest plug the laptop runs down when us we had to send an urgent email.
Surely to almost all these situations are very familiar and it is that the batteries have been the weak point of portable consumer electronics since Georges Leclanché invented the electric cell in 1867.
A joint project of SFC Smart Fuel Cell and DuPont has led to produce the first energy direct methanol (CEMD) cells, which are probably the beginning of a new era of ecological electricity without network. These energy cells are sold in the range of 25 to 100 Watts and its innovation is based, according to its manufacturer, in three key areas such as miniaturization, management of water and a patented energy cartridge system. "The technology of this system allows us to use a powerful energy cell technology to operate small, light and very portable electrical energy storage units," says the technological research of CFS, Jens Müller.
The cells have been patented interchangeable fuel cartridge, the most secure method for storing methanol is to keep it in a closed container.
