The clays with nanopartículas of magnetite delete the contaminantes metallic of the waters
21 November 2011
The technology developed by the team of the professor Ruiz Hitzky employs nanopartículas of magnetite modified to give magnetic properties to porous solid materials like the clays or the cork. With the incorporation of nanopartículas of magnetite in this type of porous materials achieve that these do not lose his capacity of absorption and at the same time incorporate magnetic properties so that they can be attracted by a magnet.
Of this way, the absorbent materials like the clay can be launched to the waters contaminated with pertinent heavy metals of the poured of fuels and oils of engine of any craft. These materials absorb the contaminantes that, adhered to them, can be collected with magnets.
According to Ruiz Hitzky, “this methodology can apply even for the collected of radioactive elements so much in the waters as in the floors”. The Spanish company Nanobiomatters has done with the licence/license of this patent developed by Ruiz Hitzky and his team for his practical application in the resolution of concrete environmental problems and for his back commercialisation/commercialization.
