Announced on December 7, 2010, this acquisition project has received the approval of the authorities of the jurisdiction of all participating countries and has been completed, according to the schedule on July 1, 2011. This new entity, with a turnover of EUR 850 million, allows Arkema to convert from this moment on "one of the world leaders in the market of materials for coverings and paints".
This important acquisition is part of the Arkema growth strategy for the coming years. Acquired assets as a whole represents approximately 1,750 employees distributed in twenty centres on four continents. Thanks to the integration of its activities, Arkema benefited significantly from new engines of growth in Asia with Cray Valley in India and Malaysia mills and a factory of Sartomer that started recently in Nansha, South of Canton (China).
