Matgas held an international symposium for the 20th anniversary of the Saft methodology
September 17, 2010
It's been 20 years since the birth of the Saft methodology, which has become an essential tool in thermodynamic engineering modeling, as well as an ideal platform for the description of complex fluids. Currently, Saft is used both by universities and by chemical and petrochemical companies.
Within this context, Matgas, Centre of excellence in CO2, held from 19 to 21 September a symposium to learn about the latest advances in this field, as well as future challenges.
It will be the creators of the methodology, as well as researchers and companies that are developing at present. Likewise, students and others interested in this methodology also take part in the Symposium. Participants come from a wide geographical location, some of the countries represented are United States, Mexico, Chile, and China.
