Andalusian experts working in the recovery of areas degraded by mining activities

The fitorrestauración of tailings from mining areas is ongoing for some time but increasingly requires more use of plans that take into account the soil as a resource. To this end, a group of research of the Experimental Station of the Zaidín (CSIC) proposes strategies compatible with the natural and economic sustainability based on introduction of plant species of ecological and economic importance in combination with 'catalysts' for the absorption of nutrients and the material of industrial waste available in the vicinity of the mine.
