May 12, 2008
The rain gauge of rocker developed by Casella is a robust measurement system, made of materials resistant to corrosion, easy to install, precise and reliable method for collecting rain. It has been designed and developed for installation in remote locations, for their integration in a rainfall network or as a component of a meteorological station. This team includes a rocker of 0.1, 0.2 and or 0.5 millimeters, spirit level for proper installation, data acquisition, battery power, RS232 interface and software.
Casella can supply the rain gauge full rocker in three different resolutions or separate for use with other raingauge rocker units. The data acquisition system consists of a data logger with microprocessor that controls the system and stores data with the date, time and battery charge. The data can be downloaded in a laptop, PC or PDA via RS232. In addition there is the possibility of remote telemetry, GSM and PSTN modems. The software package allows the tabular or graphical analysis of precipitation data. It's a specific application designed for the rain gauge, which provides the user with a powerful and versatile solution based on Windows.
