CEFIC creates ReachCentrum to facilitate their consistency with Reach
ReachCentrum is a new professional service created by Cefic, the of the industry chemical Council, designed to help companies comply with the requirements of Reach. It will be part of an integrated and consistent service of Cefic, national associations and the authorities of the States member. "Five years of experience in the development of a workable Reach legislation and its important role in the implementation of Reach in the European Commission projects give Cefic a unique experience in relation to Reach." "This is what Cefic now becomes a practical help to businesses" says Alain Perroy, Director General of Cefic.
- "Help desk": advice and guidance on how to comply with the requirements of the legislation.
- Management of consortia with absolute confidentiality
- Registration service to handle shipments of special reports to authorities on behalf of individual companies or consortia
- Archiving and management of forms for the registration and access to data of consortia
A clear distinction between the usual offer of the Association (covered by the usual share of the members of Cefic) and tailored services to firms or groups of enterprises (which are invoiced separately). Potential customers go beyond members of Cefic, including companies throughout the value chain and manufacturers of non-EU countries.
ReachCentrum was formally launched on 14 June.
